3D printed hollow object
The objective of this project was to create a 3 dimensional object that could support itself if printed with no infill.
The most challenging and time consuming part of the project was just coming up with the concepts while making sure they were functional. I had many ideas, and only a few of them worked.
The functional concepts that I ended up with in order to combine with my project were these:
I had to spend a lot of time just to be able to come up with these concepts, but because of that I think I learned a lot about the parameters of the 3D printing in itself, and how to fit within that. If I had to do this again I'm sure it would go much quicker.
The second half of the project was to combine one of my functional concepts with my partners' functional concepts.
Though I am not totally satisfied with the product, I know I learned a ton about printing especially from Peter Reddecopp, whom enlightened me on many, many aspects of 3D printing while helping me print the object.
I am now eAAAAAAAAAAAAgerrrrrrrrrrrr to print more, and after discovering the price of the "Prusa mini MK2.5"'s maybe I'll be able to obtain a printer for myself even sooner then I thought.
