Setting, Lighting and p

This introduction to rhino was definitely a pretty nice first step for a beginner like myself, I felt like I learned a lot at least about the basics of Rhino and it's render/post processing features.

This was my first render after playing with some lighting and a simple backdrop. I remember being mindblown with how it looked compared to what it actually took. For a relatively simple setup it was extremely attractive. It definitely made me think about the potential of the software.

I decided to try to push the idea of a scene or setting a little bit further so I created a simple podium for my object which at this point had 100%  become a "lost artifact".

A modern style museum exhibit would be the simplest and best looking design for me to achieve with where I'm at in this software.

I finally figured out how to bring the reflectiveness down on the buddha.

For the image second from the top, I went with simple lighting but I really liked the silhouettes the podium created and the drama that I felt like it conveyed.

I finally decided to add some basic shapes in order to communicate depth and scale a little bit better and to make the scene a littler more interesting.

All in all I'm pretty satisfied with what I came out with, and I feel like I learned a lot from this assignment. The project gave me that awesome feeling of "I just did that". That being said I'm excited to dive in to the nitty gritty and learn what more there is to offer from Rhino 7.
